Due to summer circumstances, the Comite Directeur decided to open a new office in Nis, Serbia for the first weeks of July. The Brussels' office is now closed until next week when the Financial Director will return from Armenia. The President, Network/Human Resources Director and VP/External Relations have settled in a Nis sky skraper with laptops, AEGEE-stamp and IT support staff.
With an intense programme of family visits, kavana with AEGEE-Beograd and of course the intranet training this week we are unfortunately currently not available for daily business, but for urgent matters you can always contact us by mobile.

Unbelievable.....maybe AEGEE should turn back to old times, when all CD members were settled all over Europe. It would not only safe tremendously a lot of money for the house, but at the same time increase the understanding for the working manner of all AEGEE-projects and Working groups :-D! Cheers on this genius idea to move the HO :-D

Today, Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn starts his visit of four Western Balkan countries. (Brussels, 22 July 2009)
In the Republic of Serbia, he meets President Boris Tadic, Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and Deputy Prime Ministers Djelic and Dacic. He will bring the good news on visa free travel, following the proposal of the Commission last week. He will also discuss Serbia's European integration. Mr Rehn will then continue to travel to Podgorica, Montenegro, where he has meetings with Mr Milo Djukanovic, Prime Minister, Mr Krivokapic, the Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, and Mr Vujanovic, the President of the Republic of Montenegro. Besides the good news on visa free travel Mr Rehn will also hand over the 'questionnaire' to the Montenegrin authorities. The replies to the questionnaire are necessary for the Commission to prepare the opinion on Montenegro's application for EU membership. The next destination on Mr Rehn's trip is the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, where he meets Mr Gruevski, the Prime Minister, and local NGOs. He also participates at the meeting of the National Council for European Integration. In Skopje besides the good news on visa free travel Mr Rehn will encourage the authorities to keep up the momentum of reforms and meet the outstanding benchmarks before the publication of the Commission's next Progress Report in the autumn. Finally, Commissioner Rehn visits Bosnia and Herzegovina. In Sarajevo he meets the Members of the BiH Presidency, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Dr Nikola Spiric, Finance minister Mr Dragan Vrankic, Security Minister Mr Tarik Sadovic, Foreign Minister H.E. Mr Sven Alkalaj, Republica Srpska PM Mr Milorad Dodik and FBiH PM Mr Mustafa Mujezinovic. Mr Rehn will deliver a key policy speech at the BiH Parliament in an open session on Friday 24 July.
